Music at Washington St. was a series of experimental and improvised music featuring musicians from around New England as well as visiting musicians from around the world. The series was started in 2012 by Morgan Evans-Weiler and Michael Rosenstein and was later co-curated by Michael Rosenstein and Jesse Kenas Collins. The series ended in April 2023 and is no longer active.
Rahul Nair is a composer and performer whose music draws from the American avant-garde tradition to connect auditory perception, ritual, meditation, and spatial awareness. Proxemia (aka José Rivera) is an architecturally-trained multimedia artist who creates electroacoustic and experimental sound works. He explores the intersections of aural and spatial experience through multi-channel installation and performance, public art, aural cartography, architectural design, and environmental sound recording.
