Music at Washington St. was a series of experimental and improvised music featuring musicians from around New England as well as visiting musicians from around the world. The series was started in 2012 by Morgan Evans-Weiler and Michael Rosenstein and was later co-curated by Michael Rosenstein and Jesse Kenas Collins. The series ended in April 2023 and is no longer active.

T.J. Borden Cellist T.J. Borden will be joining us from San Diego presenting a trio with the Vienna based group La-Musa. T.J. is both comited to performing composed works as well as being a force to be reckoned with in improvisation. https://tylerjborden.bandcamp.com/
Polly Hanson Using twigs, scissors and other such items Polly activates a snare drum and a mic in a way that has made her indispensable as a Boston-area player. She will be playing this one solo.
Steve Norton / Michael Rosenstein For the past few months, Steve Norton and Michael Rosenstein have been spending time collecting and analyzing sounds with audio microphones, home-built contact mics and hydrophones, and electro-coil pickups. Field trips have taken them from dingy basements to city walks to beach sojourns. As inveterate improvisers, the two will be weaving a spontaneous set from their sonic harvest, used as captured, mangled and distressed, and otherwise augmented.
