Two solos and a duo with Brendan Murray solo, Arkm Foam & Michael Rosenstein duo, and Steve Norton solo.
Brendan Murray is making a rare appearance for a solo set. Murray has actively recorded and performed with electronics since 1999. He regards his music as a balance between spontaneous sound making and compositional rigor, with an emphasis on drones and repetition. He records and processes instruments and tapes until all traces of instrumentality are blurred, leaving only large blocks of pure sound. He has also toured extensively throughout the United States as a solo performer and as a member of various improvising ensembles. He has also been actively involved in long distance collaborations with musicians and sound artists such as Seth Nehil, Richard Garet and Chuck Bettis.

Arkm Foam has been a mainstay in the New England improv scene, as musician, organizer, collaborator, and all-around sonic-experimenter. Since his move to Western Mass, his appearances in the Boston area have been fewer so each one is worth catching. For this performance, he will be performing in duo with Michael Rosenstein, a collaboration that has been in the works for awhile.

Steve Norton is a musical force in Boston, with collaborations and projects that never cease to impress. His solo performances are always special and not to be missed.
