Washington Street is requesting you wear a mask this year while visiting us for SOS. We can provide one if you don't have your own. During Saturday gallery hours, masks and proof of vaccination will be required.
For Somerville Open Studios, the Washington Street gallery and studios present an array of work from our diverse and dynamic members at 321 Washington Street, Somerville, just outside Union Square. The gallery and studios are open during SOS hours, 12 noon-6pm on Saturday, April 30, and Sunday, May 1. You can also visit the gallery Saturdays in May from 12 to 4 pm.
Our members work in many media: traditional silver gelatin, digital, and panoramic photography; assemblage, collage, drawing, painting, small sculptures, installation, book arts and much, much, more! The gallery at Washington Street will showcase the range of our studio artists, with a special emphasis on our photographers who are pleased to have escaped the confines of their small, shared space. Most of the artists in our gallery show will also have their studios open during the annual SOS event, so come on by and check it out!
