ON VIEW: August 1 – August 29, 2026
Gallery Hours: Saturdays from 12 PM – 4 PM and by appointment
Washington Street Art Center’s Me and My Friends Make Art exhibition series is back!
Me and My Friends Make Art VI – a celebration of creativity and friendship – opens with a reception from 6 – 8 PM on Saturday, August 1, 2026. The closing reception will be on our “Final Fridays” for August on the 28th from 6 – 8 PM.
Running since 2012, in this sixth exploration of creative engagement the members of Washington Street Art invite a friend from outside (or inside!) the studio to participate. Some pairs collaborate, some influence each other, some just provide support andinspiration. The works on view may relate or not, but the spirit of mutual creativity is the heart of this exhibit. Our studio members work in a wide array of media (fiber art, photography, printing, sculpture, painting, etc.), and our friends do too!
Complementing the exhibit is a night of experimental music curated by Cryptowarlber on the 29th, beginning at 7 PM.
Come see what we’ve been working on and the many ways artists react to and explore influences! This is a great opportunity to get acquainted with our current and former members and see work by artists not previously shown in the gallery.
